The L3Harris NGAL (Next Generation Aiming Laser) is the successor to the AN/PEQ-15 ATPIAL — credit card sized at 3.6″ × 2.0″ × 1.25″, under 5 oz with battery. Advanced illuminator design achieves a more uniform near-infrared illuminator beam for increased situational awareness. Runs on a single DL123 or AA battery. Manufactured by L3Harris Technologies in the USA. ITAR controlled.

Credit card footprint

High and low power modes

Both visible and IR outputs have selectable high and low power settings. Low power for eye-safe use in training or close quarters; high power for maximum range.

Visible aiming laser — red

635nm red visible laser. ≤4.9mW low (Class 3R) / ≤80mW high (Class 3B). Beam divergence 0.3 ±0.2mrad.

IR aiming laser

840nm IR laser. ≤0.6mW low (Class 3R) / ≤35mW high (Class 3B). Co-aligned with visible laser — zero visible in daylight, IR is zeroed to the same point of impact.

Variable divergence IR illuminator

860nm IR illuminator. ≤2.7mW low / ≤90mW high. Adjustable beam from ≤15mrad tight spot to ≥105mrad wide flood. Advanced illuminator design produces a more uniform NIR beam for increased situational awareness.

Co-aligned aiming beams

Visible and IR aiming lasers co-aligned with boresight retention ≤0.5mrad. Independent boresight adjusters for aim and illuminator.

Tri-color LED status indicator

Indicates mode and battery status at a glance.

Remote jack

Accepts remote pressure pad switch for activation without breaking firing grip.
