Argus PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular Housing — Builder Kit

An Argus PVS-14 format monocular housing for builders assembling their own night vision system. Argus builds to the standard AN/PVS-14 pattern, so it accepts MX-10160 and MX-11769 format tubes and works with the PVS-14 mounts, J-arms, and accessories you already own. The redesigned battery compartment lets you power the unit down while it is upright, and it mounts behind most collimating day optics — ACOG, Aimpoint, and EOTech — so the finished build doubles as a short-range weapon sight. Argus builds to MIL-PRF-49324(CR), MIL-PRF-49427(CR), and MIL-STD-810G.

Tubes are not included. You source your own tube and bring it to us for assembly, or install it yourself. Optics are selectable above — choose the bare housing kit, or add a complete Noctis/Carson or Brightpath objective and eyepiece set.

Common Questions

Does this kit include the image intensifier tube?
No. This is a housing kit — it includes every component needed to build a complete AN/PVS-14 except the image intensifier tube. You can source a tube separately from our image intensifier inventory or call us at (888) 330-7057 to hand select one to pair with this kit.

What image intensifier tubes are compatible?
This housing accepts standard 18mm Gen 2 and Gen 3 image intensifier tubes, including L3Harris and Elbit tubes. Contact us for current tube inventory and hand select options.

Is this built to military specification?
Yes. All components are manufactured, assembled, and tested in accordance with US Military specifications. This is the same standard used for military-issue AN/PVS-14 units.
