Nocturn Industries Talon Night Vision Monocular Housing — Builder Kit

The Nocturn Talon ultralight monocular housing for builders assembling their own night vision system. The Talon is molded from a high-strength, carbon-fiber reinforced polymer at roughly half the weight of a standard AA PVS-14 housing, and is designed, machined, molded, and assembled in the United States. It takes standard MX-11769 tubes and PVS-14 spec optics, and mounts on the PVS-14 J-arms you already own.

All functions run through a single tactile control knob — detented manual gain, a built-in adjustable IR illuminator with in-view indicator, an in-view low battery indicator, and automatic shut-off when stowed. It runs on a CR123A battery, with AA and CR2 caps available.

Tubes are not included. You source your own tube and bring it to us for assembly, or install it yourself. Optics are selectable above — choose the bare housing kit, or add a complete Noctis/Carson or Brightpath objective and eyepiece set.

Talon housing: Nocturn Industries covers housing components with lifetime repair or replacement. Tubes are not included in this kit — tube coverage depends on the tube you source (U.S. Gen 3: 10-year, NNVT: 2-year on tubes purchased from us).

Common Questions

Does this kit include the image intensifier tube?
No. This is a housing kit — the Talon housing with a CR123A battery cap, plus optics if you select them. The image intensifier tube is not included. You can source one from our image intensifier inventory or call us at (888) 330-7057 to hand select one to pair with this kit.

What image intensifier tubes are compatible?
Standard 18mm MX-11769 tubes, with either an EGAC pigtail or European-style 3-pad contacts. MX-10160 style tubes will also fit, but without gain control.

Will my PVS-14 optics and J-arm work?
Yes. The Talon accepts PVS-14 spec optics and standard PVS-14 mounting J-arms.
