Key Features

Holographic — not LED

True holographic technology projects the reticle at 200m, minimizing parallax. The reticle and target are simultaneously in focus regardless of head position. The 1 MOA center dot stays crisp and consistent even at 3× or 5× magnification — a key advantage over LED red dots when running a magnifier.

Night vision compatible — 10 NV settings

10 NV brightness settings in addition to 10 daylight settings. Designed specifically for use with Gen 3 NVGs. The -0 suffix means it runs in both daylight and NV modes — the defining reason to choose the EXPS3 over the EXPS2.

68 MOA ring + 1 MOA dot reticle

The standard EOTech reticle. The large 68 MOA ring (~68″ at 100 yards) enables fast CQB target acquisition with both eyes open. The 1 MOA center dot provides a precise aiming point. Calibrated for .223 / 62 gr. at 2,900 fps.

Quick-detach lever mount — lower 1/3 co-witness

Integrated QD lever mount attaches and detaches from Picatinny rail without tools. Lower 1/3 co-witness keeps iron sights visible through the lower portion of the window without obscuring the reticle.

Side buttons

Brightness controls on the side rather than the rear — fully accessible when a G33 or G45 magnifier is mounted behind the sight.

Auto-shutoff

4-hour auto-shutoff in daylight mode. 8-hour auto-shutoff in NV mode.

Where the EXPS3-2 offers a dual-reticle design, the EXPS3-0 keeps things simple with a clean 1 MOA dot reticle for precise target acquisition without ring clutter. Some shooters prefer this minimalist sight picture for distance work and bench shooting, while others choose the EXPS3-2 for its faster aiming points in dynamic engagements.

Like other red dots sights in this class, the EOTech EXPS3-0 holographic uses laser-driven holographic technology rather than reflected LED. The sight offers parallax-free aiming, works with both eyes open, and the QD lever mount enables quick installation. The unit is night vision compatible across Gen 2 and Gen 3 devices when switched to the appropriate brightness settings.

Common Questions

What’s the difference between EXPS3-0 and EXPS3-2?
Reticle only. The -0 has a single 1 MOA dot inside the 68 MOA ring. The -2 has two 1 MOA dots — the second dot provides a BDC hold for approximately 500m with .223 / 62 gr.

Does it work with the G33 magnifier?
Yes — all EOTech HWS models are compatible with the G33 and G45 magnifiers. The side buttons on the EXPS3 are designed specifically for magnifier use.
